Pull for Pink
Recently, Sheriff Jim O'Sullivan and the Chesapeake Sheriff's Office hosted their 3rd annual "Pull for Pink" event. The event challenges 8-person teams to pull a pink breast cancer awareness fire truck 12 feet in the fastest time. The event raises money to fight breast cancer and provide mammograms for women in need. All proceeds went to the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation and the Bra-ha-ha Foundation. Twenty-one teams from both sides of the water flexed their muscles at this year's competition, including several different law enforcement offices. The Hampton Roads Regional Jail Enforcers came in first place, followed by the Hampton Sheriff's Office, and the Hakuna Matatas from the Chesapeake Sheriff's Office came in third. Other teams included the Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office, Newport News Sheriff's Office, Norfolk Sheriff's Office, Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, and Correct Care Solutions.
